Aglex LED Grow Lights Review in 2020 (Unbaised )

March 4, 2020 by kabir

Led grow lights are very popular now. Many people are using led grow light to grow their indoor plants.Today we will review the top 3 best Aglex led grow lights review. So read the whole review to take the decision .

Top 3 Best Aglex Led Grow Lights Review

01. Aglex 2000 Watt Grow Light

Aglex grow lights provide full spectrum light. Furthermore, you can switch between red and blue dominated light at the touch of a button. Unlike some competitors, it offers balanced red and blue light in dual mode. There is a little infrared light to help plants bloom and white light to improve human visibility.

Wear protective goggles around the grow light, because the lights (with or without UV running) can damage your eyes. The manufacturer does not provide protective goggles, though they give you the hardware to hang the light. Once in a while, the manufacturer ships a model without the UV bulbs, having installed blue lights instead. When that happens, you may be able to solder in UV diodes yourself, but that can void the warranty. The alternative is a partial refund from the manufacturer or shipping it back.

Aglex grow lights have a number of design features that make it stand out from the crowd. One is the large aluminum heat sink you find in every single one of their grow lights. Another is the two large fans found on top of most of their models of grow lights. This helps keep the grow lights and the plants beneath them cool. It also eliminates the need to turn off the lights in the middle of the day to let them cool down if you want to maximize bulb life. A side benefit of the multiple large fans is that your unit won’t burn out if one fan dies.

The 2000 watt grow light like other LED grow lights does not match the light output of a 2000 watt HPS grow light. The output is similar to that of a 600 watt HPS grow light. Note that the light output will be less than this if you have it in veg or bloom mode. Yet it does use less power than a 600 watt HPS bulb. The power draw is typically 400 to 450 watts.

Pros:

  •  Energy efficiency
  •  Cool operating temperatures
  •  Can run the lights continuously
  •  Can be daisy-chained
  •  Massive coverage area by itself

Cons:

  • Less light output than advertised

02. Aglex 600 Watt Grow Light

The Aglex grow lights typically have reflectors and nearly 90 degree light directing lenses to send nearly all of the light created by the LEDs straight down. This gives them a smaller, tighter growing area. The growing area is roughly 2.5 feet by 2.5 feet for this model. It can provide supplemental light for a three foot by three foot tray of seedlings or herbs.

The light design increases light penetration into the foliage as well as light intensity under the grow lamp. That makes Aglex grow lights a good choice for aquariums, trays of seedlings and industrial plant growing operations where you want light on the plants but nowhere else.

Note that this doesn’t eliminate the need to wear protective goggles around these grow lights. Nor does the manufacturer provide protective goggles, though they do include the hanging kit and power cords with the LED grow light. Like many other grow light kits in this price range, it doesn’t come with a thermometer.

The 600 watt grow light pulls between 100 and 120 watts of power. It can accept AC power between 100 and 240 volts. The light output is similar to a 200 to 300 watt HPS grow light.

One point in favor of this grow light is that it like other Aglex brand grow lights can be daisy chained. This means you can install one 600 watt grow light, and if it is necessary, hang a second one right next to it while plugging it into the first grow light. This eliminates the trip hazard that comes with long extension cords in a large growing operation.

Furthermore, daisy-chaining the grow lights makes it possible to connect 2 of the 600 watt Aglex grow lights that cost little more together than a 1200 Watt grow light. That purchase decision allows you to relocate grow lights as required instead of relying on a single, large grow light. It also gives you a much larger growing area than the 1200 Watt grow light. You could even connect a third grow light to the same chain.

The grow light weighs roughly five pounds. This makes it easy for one person to install, and there’s no need to pick up a second hanging kit to support the lights. Sometimes these kits ship without the hangers and power cord.

The frame is not durable. It is prone to being dented during shipping, and it can be dinged up if dropped. And a small light like this is more prone to internal damage if shocked or dropped. However, the grow lights themselves are fairly rugged.

Pros:

  • Can be daisy chained
  • Full coverage for a small grow tent
  • Energy efficient

Cons:

  •  Doesn’t always come with all the hardware

03. Aglex 1200 Watt Grow Light

Our Aglex led grow lights review wouldn’t be complete without a look at the intermediate product between the two extremes. That’s why we’re going to review the 1200 watt grow light in addition to the 600 and 2000 watt models. Power consumption is similar to that of 2 600 watt grow lights by this manufacturer. In fact, the 1200 watt model is slightly more energy efficient than the 600 watt unit. The 1200 watt uses around 215 watts of power, whereas 2 600 watt units would use 220 to 240 watts. The unit can accept AC power between 100 and 240 volts.

Because you can daisy chain these grow lights, you can connect two of the 1200 watt models to beat the light output of a 2000 watt grow light. This also allows you to create a truly square growing area, if you place two of the 1200 watt models side by side instead of in a long chain.

The chip on a board design allows it to use far less power than comparable 1200 watt grow lights, including those with individual LEDs. Unlike some LED grow lights, if the infrared or UV lights burn out, you won’t see a cascading failure of other LEDs on the board. Unfortunately, if lights start going out on your new grow light, it is hard to get replacements or even return it.

Pros:

  • More cost effective than 2 600 watt lights
  • One light burning out won’t cause others to do so
  • Easy to control
  • Simple to set up

Cons:

  •  Difficult to repair
